Community engagement sessions

The Goombi Renewable Energy Hub hosted its first community drop-in and information sessions in April 2024, hosting over 50 residents, project neighbours and local business owners over two sessions in Miles and Chinchilla. Attendees shared constructive feedback that will help shape the project’s future and approach to community benefits.

Attendees highlighted several key areas where the project could provide meaningful support and how a project Community Benefit Fund may best serve the region. All suggestions and feedback provided by the community will be carefully considered as we continue to develop and design the wind farm. Further information will be shared on this soon.

The project team is available to meet with residents, neighbours and local businesses at your convenience and we encourage you to get in touch if you haven’t already done so. We will be hosting more community sessions as the development progresses. We’ll provide updates here on the planned dates and locations.

To speak with a member of the project team, please contact us via email at goombi_notices@lprp.net or by phone on 1300 218 919 with any questions or queries, or to discuss any project opportunities
